Bridge Drive

Planning permission has now been obtained, by the practice, for a new office building on land to the rear of a semi-detached former house and now office in Palmers Green, London.

Occupied for more than forty years by the client, a firm of chartered accountants, the existing premises are no longer suitable for the operation of the business and the proposal redevelops part of the rear garden land to provide a tailor-made fit-for-purpose modern office unit.

Method Architects worked with the client for some time investigating design possibilities to future-proof their business accommodation and achieving site access arrangements from a privately controlled roadway.

Conway Street

In 2012, Method Architects was asked to assist in the relocation of the head office of highly valued client, Caprice. Holdings Ltd.

Organised over 5 floors of an existing building in Fitzrovia, the first task was to space-plan the available areas to accommodate eight departments of various sizes, plus the executive offices on the top floor, while leaving three existing tenants in occupation.

The works were completed successfully over a five month period. Since then we have been asked to return to help with similar exercises.

Friendship Works

There is perhaps no worthier cause than giving as many children as possible a decent start in life. Friendship Works is a charitable organisation that provides young people with someone to help mentor them through difficult phases in their lives.

So Method Architects was extremely pleased to be asked to help them with their low-cost expansion into a new unit within the sharespace type accommodation in the Highgate Studios.

Hercules Road Bakery Unit

Keith McNally and his colleagues at the Balthazar Brasserie were so particular about the quality of the bread to be served in their first restaurant in the UK, that they built a new bespoke bakery to serve it.

Method Architects conducted a fact finding mission to New Jersey in New York and helped translate the facilities to two railway arches in Waterloo, working with master baker Jonathan Rolfe and kitchen specialists Eximius.

Stock X Change

Client developer The Span Group asked Method Architects to look at the fit-out of a vacant ground-floor unit in their largest housing development in Market Road, N7.

The brief called for a work-hub: a flexible workspace to offer temporary office accommodation to the local community.

Coleridge Primary School

Method Architects is working with the headteacher and the governors of Coleridge Primary School to put into place the final piece of its expansion over the past eight years.

The school needs to create a single assembly hall form its two dining halls, currently separated by a huge blockwork wall. Using its knowledge of spaceframe technology, Method Architects realised that the existing roof needed no such support, and so the wall is being taken away.

In its place will be installed a high quality movable panelled partition (shown here in yellow).
